About me

Hello there! I'm Paulie, an author of children's books for ages two to eight.

As a child, I had a big imagination. My mom used to say I could be handed a paperclip and entertain myself for hours. I would turn it into an adventure or a story, and that's what you'll find in my books, A Leaf Blew Free and The Happy Wanderer's Super Halloween: ordinary moments, like a walk home or a Halloween costume, that become adventures.

I caught the writing bug in 2016. First, I had to learn to write well while working a full-time job. Then I got incredibly lucky and found an amazing woman. After we married and settled into our home, we had our daughter. As she approached three years old, I realized just how much I love reading and telling her stories. Most of them were ideas from my own childhood: friendships with animals and objects, journeys, and adventures.

Then my wife gave me a Father's Day gift: a Paw Patrol-themed book starring my daughter and me. It really hit me, and I began writing down my own childhood adventures. After publishing my first book on Amazon Kindle, I decided to turn these stories into a series called The Happy Wanderer. The second book came out just in time for Halloween.

Outside of writing, I work, raise my daughter with my incredible wife, and play music. When I'm not doing any of that, I'm usually reading, daydreaming, or planning the next book.
